Piggies, Snacking, Thrifting in Kichijoji & Koenji

Step into the charming, quiet suburban life of Japan

Note: Cyber Bunny Tours will book Ghibli Museum in Mitaka tickets for you so you don’t have to experience the messy queue online at a different time zone

Itinerary (Two-stops)

  • Ghibli Museum

  • Pig Cafe

  • Exploring Kichijoji’s street foods & thrift scene

  • Thrifting in Koenji

Pig Cafe

If you’re allergic to cats or animals with long fur, I recommend a pig, capybara, or otter cafe!

I paid a little extra so they can have time with the littlest pig, Teto. Shhhhh…. don’t tell them.

On the Path to Self-Growth

Part of my tours is taking people on a spiritual journey in learning more about themselves. Back home, we are busy with our careers, family, schools etc. and doomscrolling on social media doesn’t help at all! These apps are made to distract us even more!

I hope these activities can give clarity to the ones who seek it. But it’s also just plain fun to see what you get!

What is your aura color?

An aura is an invisible electromagnetic energy field that surrounds everyone. The aura reflects your mental, physical and emotional states. The aura can appear in colors such as green, purple, blue or yellow etc. You can figure out your strengths and weaknesses based on your aura color.

Orange! Little Sis and I both got yellow.

Note: The entire experience and text will be in Japanese.

It also tells you which stones are compatible for your energy. They also sell stones and you can custom make a bracelet.

Orange Aura Meaning:

Good: Loves a challenge, loud, bright, prefers to communicate through words, authentic like children “If they are happy, they will show it”.

Bad: Moves before thinking deeply. They believe “It is better to do it than regret not doing it”, when they have a goal- everything around them is blurry.

Love: When it comes to love, they seek stability. If their partner is insecure, people with orange aura get stressed out.

Fortune telling

He is my favorite fortune teller because he will keep it real with you. His knowledge is based off of the Chinese teachings.

This is a great moment for parents to listen in on what’s going on with their teenager’s life. If they won’t talk at home, this is your chance to hear them open their heart.

Street Foods!

All the things we nibbled throughout the day!

  • Fried meatballs & potato croquette

  • Gyoza dumplings

  • Kamaboko (Japanese fishcake)

  • Totoro cream puffs (strawberry and matcha flavors)

  • Frozen Yogurt

Kichijoji’s famous Gyoza dumplings

Kamaboko (mini hotdog, cheese, onion)

Frozen yogurt

Here are my two cents on “Japanese Thrifting”

We went to Kichijoji and Koenji, known for their thrift scene. The daughters had a special request, and they wanted to find the best deals.

Maybe to find a vintage brown “everyday” bag?

Here’s something you should know before going there:

Kichijoji is the furthest from the city centre, but prices are reasonable. My secret spots are all the way in Tachikawa, but not many tourists are willing to spend time getting there.

Personally, thrift prices in Koenji are higher than Shimokitazawa or Kichijoji bc there is less variety = no competition.

Shimokitazawa mostly re-sells overpriced aloha shirts, American fashion (ex. sports letterman jacket), retro vintage fashion. To be honest, I have never bought anything there LOL.

However, Koenji’s restaurant scene is cheaper than Shimokitazawa surprisingly!

Nevertheless, Koenji and Kichijoji are a charming city loved by the locals.

Lychee, Strawberry, Cassis, Mango

I took them to Atlantis Vintage in Koenji since they were on Vogue Magazine. I also met the owner! Since the last time I was here, they have remodeled their store!

Thank you for including me on your special trip!

They just came back from Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, so Tokyo is their last stop.

Praying you find that cute brown again!
