Cyber Bunny gets Cyber Hacked

It All Begins Here

On July 4th, 2026, my gmail and YouTube were hacked.

I got an email from the marketing team from VistaCreate, which is a similar online design tool like Canva. He went by the name “Malcolm Bennett.” He was offering a sponsored post on Youtube and asked for my rates.

Everything looked legit on the outside! He had the VistaCreate logo, his sign off on the bottom , a legit email address.

I replied to the email and gave him video options and ideas.

The first red flag I should’ve caught was the mail delivery failure.

I thought Google made a mistake, but got another email from Malcolm with a new thread asking the same thing but less professional than the first time.

He had approved my price and wanted to go with the Youtube integrated ad. Then sent me a pdf document on the briefing, the content guidelines and useful info on how to promote VistaCreate. THIS FELT REAL.

At this point, I was chasing the money. I wanted to finish the video fast and quick, so I can feel relieved this month since there were no tours schedule for the summer. No one wants to come to Tokyo during July and August anyway, so I had to make money somehow.

I replied to the email and approved the briefing, and said, “Cool, what’s next?”

Malcolm sent me instructions in the next email.

“We pay our creators using this platform. All contracts, guidelines, review of work will be here.”

To me, this was awesome. Everything organized all in one place.

They used a site called “Gevrix.” First, you add your Youtube channel link. Second, you log in using Gmail (yes the automated one Google uses for everything).

Then, you wait for the Youtube app to confirm your log in. It gave me a number and I tapped that number on the app.

Then it hit me.

I was waiting for more than 10 minutes for a simple log in when it usually takes only a few seconds for access.

My home wifi was also weird too. It disconnected for a moment.

Then gmail sent me a recovery code that started with a G-. RECOVERY? I did not ask for that…

Then I checked my inbox in another gmail and there were a sea of emails where the hacker changed:

  • my password

  • recovery email to theirs

I panicked and grabbed my husband out of breath… “I think I’ve been hacked.” He didn’t believe me.

Our Saturday was ruined.

Small Steps Create Big Shifts

It All Begins Here

Confidence doesn’t always arrive with a bold entrance. Sometimes, it builds quietly, step by step, as we show up for ourselves day after day. It grows when we choose to try, even when we’re unsure of the outcome. Every time you take action despite self-doubt, you reinforce the belief that you’re capable. Confidence isn’t about having all the answers — it’s about trusting that you can figure it out along the way.

The key to making things happen isn’t waiting for the perfect moment; it’s starting with what you have, where you are. Big goals can feel overwhelming when viewed all at once, but momentum builds through small, consistent action. Whether you’re working toward a personal milestone or a professional dream, progress comes from showing up — not perfectly, but persistently. Action creates clarity, and over time, those steps forward add up to something real.

You don’t need to be fearless to reach your goals, you just need to be willing. Willing to try, willing to learn, and willing to believe that you’re capable of more than you know. The road may not always be smooth, but growth rarely is. What matters most is that you keep going, keep learning, and keep believing in the version of yourself you’re becoming.
