Cosplay Experience in Kabukicho, Shinjuku

Here is what you can expect in this plan:
Step 1: Make your reservation on Trip Advisor (Mon, Wed, Fri only)

I highly recommend getting your photos taken! Select “With professional photography” or bring a friend that can take photos for you. More details on the booking site.
Chose anime characters:
Dragon Ball - Goku
One Piece - Luffy
Naruto - Forth Hokage
Evangelion - Rei
Evangelion - Ayanami
Evangelion - Asuka Langley
Demon Slayer - Nezuko
Sailor Moon - Serena Tsukino
Step 2: Check in at the front with a person with “NaviSpot” name tag
Then change into costume
You will head down to the basement floor.
Be sure to bring socks, undergarments that can be see through (so no hot pink lacey bra), and SPANDEX shorts!
You will be sweating a lot from the adrenaline, so pack some deodorant.
Step 3: Hair and make-up
I did my own make-up this time
But there will be a professional make-up artist that will assist in completing the look.
Cosplay make-up is very different than your everyday makeup.
Maybe don’t forget some colored contacts and eye lashes!
Step 4: 30-min photoshoot around Kabukicho
Don’t forget to take shots of the epic “I LOVE KABUKICHO” sign and Godzilla Road. Or go to the Game Center.
Forget Shibuya Scramble, this is a much less crowded intersection to take photos at with Godzilla and Don Qi Xote at your sides.
Step 5: 30-min sitting on top of the window
Wave to the crowd! Be prepared to have your photos taken by strangers. All eyes on you! Enjoy your 30 minutes of fame! You will be filled with adrenaline!
It’s not scary at all! Maybe bc I’m not afraid of heights. Walking on the street in front of people felt nerve-wracking.
Don’t worry! There’s a harness!
(Some people wear the belt underneath the costume)
Step 6: All done!
After changing out, you can enjoy a drink or sing karaoke at the bar on the second floor.
Lastly, you will receive the data of 10 epic photos via email.

Would I do it again??
OF COURSE! It’s worth every penny.
