Solo Traveling in Kichijoji: Day 2

Cyber Bunny takes solo traveler from California, U.S. on a tour around Kichijoji.

While her bf was at work, Wendy asks CB to keep her company. Traveling is always fun with a friend!

Harmonica Yokocho

It’s alive at night but great photo op!

Let’s talk about your problems

It was Wendy’s first time going to see a fortune teller, so she was really excited.

This time, the fortune teller used Chinese numerology, cards, and dice. A new method I have never seen before. Her reading opened a can of worms and it seemed to have given Wendy some clarification about her life moving forth. Whether you believe in this hocus pocus, if it gives people hope and encouragement… why not?? I find it amusing and it allows me the opportunity to get to know my guests on a spiritual level and share the struggles they’ve endured that led them to the person they are today.

Fortune teller wished her the best as she gave her some snacks and candy to cheer her up, which is very rare! Usually it’s the other way around! How kind and thoughtful of her!

“Roll the die three times and ask the question in your head…”

When in Japan, eat good sushi…

Wendy preferred sitting down for lunch. I took her to a sushi spot with the counter seat so you can see the master chefs make sushi in front of you. She ate her sushi in silence, savoring each bite. So I let her be in her own world… I eat fast, so I finished my plate already haha.

I have eaten a lot of sushi from cheap to upscale and this spot was really good with a great price point!

It’s on the top floor of Kichijoji Parco.

Shopping!

One of her request was shopping.. duh! We had similar taste- comfy but cute, affordable, thrift shops etc. So I took her to a few of my favorite shops. She got a few tops and a cropped flannel that goes with her jeans and the viral Anessa sunscreen at the drug store. We had some time to kill before our reservation at the Capybara Cat Cafe.

Matching bracelet because it was her birthday! We both love this color and the stones will make our lives “nicer and more forgiving” according to the the shop staff.

She gave it some spiritual energy before packing it away.

Capybara Cat Cafe

This was high up on Wendy’s bucket list to do in Japan.

She has two dogs at home, but is looking to get a cat in the future! Her favorite was this black one.

Ghibli Totoro Cream Puff

Took out one for her and one for her bf to devour back at the hotel. Custard and strawberry flavors!

It sells out fast so make sure to get there early!

Best for Last

Our last stop before dropping her off to her station. A few hours ago, the line for Froyo was long, so we came back and it hasn’t changed at all LOL.

We got raspberry/ berry and mango flavor.

This hits the spot perfectly! Something refreshing, cold and sweet is just what I needed.
